I took this series of rubber balls rebound with a freezing of motion in mind. Constant diffuse light served to leave trails of movement. But my sister’s studio was too small, the constant light itself has to bounce off every wall before reaching the balls. The freezing light was a flash which was sound-triggered, by the collision sound between hard rubber ball and the bottom wood material which gives good rebound. Sound trigger was fired with a 0.3 sec delay, to make sure the balls reach their maximum height, except for the first photo, which I triggered twice with zero sec delay, the second time using my own voice. The catchlight just fell naturally in place. Backdrop was black velvet. The rest is gravity. Hope it gravitates you too!
